Cookie Policy

Persistly separates essential cookies from optional analytics.

Last updated: 2026-04-21. This Cookie Policy explains how Persistly uses cookies and similar technologies.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and SDK/session identifiers used to keep an account or checkout flow working.

2. Essential cookies

Essential cookies are required for basic functionality such as authentication, session management, dashboard security, abuse prevention, and service operation. These are required for account and project access.

  • Clerk session cookies keep dashboard users signed in and protect account routes.
  • Stripe may set essential cookies during checkout, billing portal, and invoice flows.
  • The local development fallback can set a temporary persistly_dashboard_demo_operator cookie. This fallback is not intended for production auth.
  • Docs navigation may use browser session storage to remember scroll position. This is functional UI state, not advertising tracking.

3. Analytics cookies

The current Persistly website does not intentionally load optional marketing pixels. Cloudflare, Vercel, and hosting providers may process aggregate or technical request logs needed for security, reliability, and delivery. If optional analytics, marketing pixels, or tracking cookies are added later, Persistly will request consent before enabling them where required.

4. Consent and managing cookies

Strictly necessary cookies are used without a consent banner because the service cannot work without them. In regions where consent is required for non-essential cookies, you can reject them. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings.

Persistly has a built-in cookie notice that is disabled by default. It should be enabled only when optional analytics or non-essential tracking is added.

5. Third-party cookies

Some cookies may be set by third-party services used by Persistly, including Clerk for authentication and Stripe for payment flows. DigitalOcean hosts the API and database. Vercel hosts the website, dashboard, and docs. Cloudflare provides DNS and may provide security or delivery services where enabled.

6. Changes

We may update this policy periodically.
